Like a night for a sunrise
Or a daytime for nightfall
My nights as a young girl,
Were bigger than me.
There were lights and cars and no one
Noticing, the horrors in my room.
But I grew up, and then nights
Became areas capturing
My put together magic-show.
The glimpses of the future me,
Winding my way through the cross
Navigating the Black Sheep Sea
Laying on my bed, deep in trouble
Knowing inside, thinking
Ill never be normal.
But things grew together
Sewn by time and the family weather
And the magic grew from another’s stare
Watching myself, sitting there.
Being watched, and now I can bend any nightime
To my will.
